In a calm space renovated from an old folk house, the style of taking off your shoes before entering is comforting. The soba made from Biei's Kitamitsuki, kneaded with a two-to-eight ratio, has a refreshing texture and a robust aroma that feels pleasant. The broth, based on bonito, is smooth and enhances the flavor of the soba beautifully. The handmade side dish corner, where you can freely take items, features soy sauce-pickled garlic and marinated onions, making it fun to nibble on a little bit at a time. The tempura made from locally sourced asparagus and the seasonal rice balls are also juicy, bringing a smile to my face. With attentive and warm service, including the soba water after the meal, I was able to enjoy a leisurely and happy time.
