I wanted to take a breather on the approach to the temple and was drawn in by the aroma. Once seated, the fragrant soba tea that was served first warmed my body gently. The 100% buckwheat soba was thin yet had a firm texture, and with each bite, the sweetness spread, leaving me impressed. The dipping sauce was slightly sweet and rich, enhancing the flavor of the soba with just a light dip. The homemade pickles and simmered mushrooms also had a gentle taste, making the wait enjoyable. When I sprinkled a little shichimi (seven spice), the aroma changed, and I was able to finish it all without getting bored, feeling very satisfied.
