Upon entering the shop, I was greeted by a clean and bright space that provided a sense of calm. The owner, who welcomed me with a smile from behind the counter, was very kind, and our conversation flowed naturally. The handwritten menu on washi paper was charming, and just looking at it was enjoyable. The dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelette) was fluffy, with the umami of the dashi overlapping, and the moment it entered my mouth, I felt happiness. The fragrant grilled miso and sweet onion dish was also delicious, perfect for enjoying with sake, which is irresistible for sake lovers. Even the zosui (rice soup) and sake lees dessert we had at the end showed careful craftsmanship, leaving me feeling fulfilled in my heart.
