Upon entering the store, you are greeted by a row of freshly harvested bamboo shoots, enveloped in the scent of spring. The staff member informed me that 'the shorter bamboo shoots are more tender,' which made me look forward to comparing them. There is also an abundance of wild vegetables such as kogomi and tara no me, and just looking at them sparks my imagination for cooking. The tempura made from wild vegetables and the bamboo shoot rice balls, made on the spot, have a simple yet comforting taste that is delightful. The handmade konnyaku has a crunchy texture, and I was surprised by the difference from what I usually eat. This shop, surrounded by nature and offering fresh ingredients, is a wonderful spot to casually enjoy the blessings of the mountains.
