Tonkatsu restaurant loved by the locals @ Terada-machi | Happy eating delicious food! After going to buy some sweets, I asked my friend if she wanted to have dinner somewhere else. I don't come to this area often, so I don't really know where to go... but my friend once told me that she didn't go to this place because there was a huge line! Tonkatsu Tontei is located about a 5-minute walk northwest of JR Teradacho Station. You can order a la carte items on the menu, but most people order a set meal! My friend chose the hele, so I decided to have the loin so we could share it! I chose the loin mixed set meal for 1,550 yen, and I chose two kinds of cutlets and seafood, crab croquettes, fried shrimp and fried squid. The pork cutlet is not too thick, not too thin, just the right thickness, not overcooked, crispy batter and firm texture. The cream croquettes have potatoes in them? The red dashi is not so much like red dashi...it might be more like tonjiru! The father, son and daughter work together smoothly in the small kitchen, and there seem to be many regular customers. I've been wanting to go to Tantei for a while. I had given up on it when I saw the line that was always long, but when I went there with determination, I thought I could go and went straight to the line because there were only two people waiting on a Sunday afternoon after 1:00 pm! I waited for about 10 minutes and was able to get in! There were many customers at the L-shaped counter! There were many celebrity autographs! Order was a mixed filet mignon for 1,550 yen! There was a system where you could choose 2 items from 3 seafood items! I had crab cream croquette and fried shrimp! In winter, they also have a choice of fried oysters! Within 10 minutes, the pork cutlet arrived! From the looks of it, it is a standard type, different from epee and mange. However, after taking a bite, you realize to your surprise! The sweetness of the meat of the hele katsu spreads in your mouth! From then on, I couldn't stop eating the chopsticks and just kept on eating the meat without talking! LOL! The crab cream croquette was also very creamy! I can see why it is so popular. The red soup stock, which I had heard about before, was so delicious that I couldn't stop drinking it because of its characteristic sweetness! It was really delicious! Thank you very much!
