As you exit the station and walk a little, a cozy Japanese restaurant with warm lights welcomes you. Upon entering, the newly renovated wooden counter shines, and the arrangement of dishes is exceptionally stylish. Seasonal items are lined up, and I was first impressed by the crispy wild vegetable tempura and the emerald-colored roasted ginkgo nuts. The dish of beef and watercress is simple yet has a deep umami flavor that makes you want to drink more. The grilled cod milt and shabu-shabu have a melting texture, leaving a fragrant broth lingering. The final dish, Himi udon curry, is smooth and light, making for a happy time with smiles that don't stop until the end.

Dishes that make the most of seasonal ingredients keep coming out, offering a joy that cannot be imagined just from the menu's text. The salad dressing is richly aromatic, and even I, who usually doesn't eat much leafy greens, could eat a lot of it. The crab topped with sea grapes and the seaweed rolls with tuna that don't use rice are luxurious yet approachable innovations. The tempura of wild vegetables has a perfect balance of bitterness and lightness in the batter, making it feel like spring is spreading in my mouth. The sashimi of tuna, sea urchin, and shellfish were all astonishingly fresh, and I felt they were more delicious than those at a ryokan. The bright and homey atmosphere of the restaurant, where I could freely choose only what I liked, was also pleasant, and I was completely satisfied until the end.
