A Supreme Drink Crafted by a Championship Bartender

Located in Sendai's Ichibancho, BAR OWL is an authentic bar where a bartender with a history of winning the Suntory Cocktail Award in the Tohoku region showcases his skills. The cocktails, such as those made with whole kumquats and classic-style salty dogs, are impressive for their ability to highlight the flavors of the ingredients. The carefully prepared food, including beer-braised chicken, is also well-received, and the calm atmosphere allows for enjoyable conversations with the master. This is a recommended spot for adults seeking a quality experience.

Upon entering the store, a calm atmosphere flows, allowing you to relax immediately. The first drink I ordered, a Moscow Mule, had a strong ginger flavor yet a gentle sweetness that left a pleasant aftertaste. Next, I had the seasonal limited roast beef, which had just the right amount of fat and salt that enhanced the umami of the lean meat, making me smile involuntarily. The homemade cocktail, kumquat kamikaze, was full of fruity flavor, and even the kumquat garnishing the glass was refreshing. The beer-braised chicken was tender, and combined with the sweetness of the carrots, I couldn't stop eating. I felt that it was a wonderful bar where conversations with the bartender and other customers flowed, allowing for a leisurely time.
