This is an old-fashioned yakitori restaurant, and as you pass through the noren (curtain), the cheerful owner warmly welcomes you. The lively conversation is enjoyable, and it's nice that the atmosphere quickly becomes friendly even if you go alone. There is a wide variety of grilled items, including large pieces of pork belly, gizzards, and chicken wings, and just the aroma of the savory smoke makes you want to drink. The skewers of pork belly wrapped around apple have a perfect balance of sweet and salty, and they pair excellently with sake. The freshly prepared chicken liver and grilled offal are also carefully cooked, and all of them are juicy and satisfying. The popular sashimi often sells out late in the evening, so if you're interested, it's best to order early for peace of mind.
