In a residential area just a short walk from Kokubunji Station, a house café exudes the aroma of Japanese tea wafting from the entrance. Inside, greenery is placed throughout, and simply gazing at the aquarium with medaka fish swimming and the small garden biotope brings a sense of calm. The menu features a wide variety of teas, including sencha and hojicha, with descriptions of each type, making it enjoyable to choose. The homemade blended sencha is refreshing and easy to drink, with a mild bitterness and a soft aroma that spreads with the steam, which is delightful. For sweets, matcha zenzai and freshly baked dorayaki are popular, with their subtle sweetness pairing perfectly with the tea. The time spent savoring a delicious cup while turning the pages in a quiet and serene space was a moment that made me forget the everyday.
