At a traditional bean shop by the river, a large scale catches your eye as you enter the store. They sell shelled peanuts by weight, and the moment you open the bag, a fragrant aroma spreads. The specialty salted boiled peanuts are moist and fluffy, with a gentle saltiness that keeps you coming back for more. They are, of course, a great accompaniment to beer, but they are also so delicious that you can't stop snacking on them. The bean snacks like squid peas lined up on the shelves are also light and crispy, and I ended up buying some extra. It's a warm and inviting shop where you can feel the local peanut culture, and I get excited every time I visit.
