A new spot to enjoy authentic Sri Lankan cuisine

Opened in 2024, Kura Sri offers authentic Sri Lankan cuisine in Kurashiki. The dishes faithfully replicate local flavors and are all superb, reflecting customer feedback. Run by a friendly Sri Lankan couple, the restaurant's heartwarming service is a charm. Vibrantly plated lunch dishes and homemade Ceylon milk tea are particularly recommended.

I was excited by the lunch plate filled with the aromas of Sri Lanka. On top of the basmati rice was crispy fried fish, providing a delightful texture. The surrounding curries and achaar each had their own unique character, with the sweetness of kiwi and pineapple adding a nice accent. The warm soup served as a complimentary dish had a gentle flavor, and I felt comforted from the very first sip. The carefully prepared milk tea and small dessert after the meal allowed for a relaxing experience. Thanks to the friendly owner, I felt very comfortable even though it was my first visit.
