It's a cozy little shop centered around the counter, and as soon as you take a seat, the staff greets you with a smile. First, I ordered a beer, and it smoothly quenched my dry throat, instantly lifting my spirits. They also have local sake from Fukui, which is aromatic with every sip, making it irresistible for sake lovers. I ordered the specialty, heshiko, as a snack, and the strong saltiness combined with the umami made me keep reaching for my glass. For the finale, I enjoyed salt-flavored Chinese noodles topped with ham, kamaboko, and a soft-boiled egg, and the gentle broth seeped warmly into my body. The warm atmosphere where conversations naturally arise with regulars is also pleasant, making it a fun time even for solo drinking.
