Soba Tagu is a newly opened soba restaurant located just 10 seconds from Gokurakuji Station. The soba, which can be enjoyed alongside a variety of carefully crafted side dishes, is exceptional. Dishes like duck roast and soba miso are particularly popular, offering visitors a delightful discovery of new flavors.

This soba restaurant is located in a quiet residential area, and I appreciate its proximity to the station. With its calm atmosphere, you can relax as if you were on a trip the moment you step inside. The thin soba noodles have a wonderful aroma and a smooth texture that pairs well with the depth of the broth. The tempura is lightly fried, and the small dishes, salad, and pickled eggplant are all carefully prepared and impressive. For seasonal dishes, the hydrangea soba with olive oil and the fun color-changing grated daikon with lemon are delightful. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant has a pleasant buzz with a good mix of regulars and tourists.

It is a soba restaurant that is very close to the station and easy to drop by. First, the appetizers before the soba are abundant, with carefully prepared dishes like dashimaki (rolled omelette), hiyayakko (cold tofu), and tempura, all of which pair well with drinks. The hanamaki soba has a gentle aroma of roasted nori (seaweed) that spreads, and the dipping sauce with bonito broth is pleasantly complemented by the scents of yuzu and wasabi. The seiro (cold soba served on a bamboo tray) has a smooth texture, and the sweetness comes out the more you chew, which pairs well with the dipping sauce. The seasonal creative soba was also enjoyable, with a bowl that allows you to appreciate the changes in color, and I was excited about the refreshing sudachi soba. The energy and attentiveness of the young staff were pleasant, and I had a very enjoyable time here.
