In a renovated traditional farmhouse, the thatched roof and waterwheel create a very calming atmosphere. The breeze flows through, and with the presence of a fan, I was able to spend my time comfortably. The wappa rice may look small, but it is packed full, and the texture of the glutinous rice provides a satisfying experience. There are various side dishes, allowing me to slowly enjoy the flavors of the countryside. The dumpling soup, kenchin, triangular fried tofu, and frozen rice cakes all have a gentle taste, and each one is comforting. In the quiet air of the mountain village, I felt happy to leisurely savor the local home-cooked dishes.
