This is a hidden gem located in front of a temple, featuring a calm atmosphere that makes use of a residential house. When you open the sliding door, you find a spacious area with a hearth seating and tatami rooms that provide a comforting feeling. Initially, you are served soba tea and fried soba snacks, which you can enjoy while waiting. The hand-made soba, ground with a stone mill, is thin, aromatic, and has a nice chewy texture that feels good going down. The dipping sauce has a gentle sweetness that complements the flavor as you continue eating. The side dishes, such as tempura and soba tofu, are also prepared with care, and the thoughtful timing of serving the soba is delightful.
