"Sanki Chaya" was established in 1975 by the current president, who was the son of a fisherman and wanted to make "sanma sushi," which he loved since childhood, a specialty of Owase. Today, it has become one of the representative souvenirs of Owase and continues to be loved by the local people. It is made with a focus on quality ingredients, such as Koshihikari rice from Mie Prefecture and naturally brewed vinegar made from the spring water of Nachi Falls. The restaurant also adopts a self-service model, aiming to create a place that is easy for individuals to enter. They sell sushi for souvenirs and also offer shipping to other regions, making it popular among tourists.
