Local ramen seems to be all the rage these days. There is a ramen shop that has been on my mind for a long time! It's Retsubi in Shonai! I've heard that many ramen lovers go there for their delicious ramen, so I've always had a BM. I thought, "I can go there anytime since it's in the next town! I can go there anytime I want, but it's hard to take action, isn't it? In the meantime, the store has moved to a new location and has been cleaned up. A branch opened in Gamo, and its popularity has begun to spread. But why? I'll tell you why I decided to go there now. I saw on FB that a friend of mine was going to the branch to try to get all the different kinds, and he was reporting that he ate this one every day! I felt like I wanted to eat it so badly! Yes! I guess I'm a simple creature! The place is a couple of minutes walk from Hankyu Shonai Station Across the street from the restaurant is the Tenmanza, where you can see a popular theater performance. In that sense, you will never get lost! There are poles and ropes in front of the store. There was no line when we visited, but you can see why they are so popular! The ticket machine is on the left as soon as you enter the restaurant. You buy a meal ticket and give it to the store staff. Some items were sold out, but you can choose what you like. Me: "Four kinds of seafood soy sauce ramen" 750 yen My partner - Yamagata Chicken Chinese Ramen: 800 yen, Chashu-don: 330 yen The restaurant has only 11 seats at the counter, but it is not that spacious. After a short wait, the ramen appeared! The soup is dark, like soy sauce ramen, and one wonders if it is tamari soy sauce. The four kinds of seafood were not clear to me, but it has a deep, savory and sweet flavor! I thought the soy sauce was a little spicy at the end, but that was the last thing I wanted to do! The noodles were firm and chunky, just the way I like it! The thick chinachiku and the thick, tender chashu pork were well balanced and tasty! My partner's Yamagata Tori Chuka with fresh shichimi (seven spices), the chicken broth mixed well with the oil from the fried egg was delicious! If anything, this was more to my personal liking! I also had a small portion of the chashu pork bowl, but the chashu pork and the sauce went well with the rice, and it was very filling! But it tastes almost like mayo because there is a lot of mayonnaise. ・・・・ The waitress confirmed it for me! Would you like mayonnaise on it? I said OK, here it is! Less next time... No, I think it tastes good enough without it. It was a chilly day, so the ramen warmed me up! There was one item on the menu that I will definitely order next time, and that is the Hikari Mixed Soba! It's an evolution of Yamagata Prefecture's native dish, "Hittari Mixed Udon"! It was a mixed soba with natto (fermented soybeans) and it looked so delicious! I'll definitely eat it next time! But I'm not going to try all of them, though. Thanks for the food!
