Taguchiya is a famous restaurant located in Kuki City, Saitama Prefecture, offering dishes made from river fish such as eel, carp, and loach. The eel dishes, meticulously prepared by skilled artisans, are thick and have a delightful texture. The unaju and kabayaki made with eels from Mikawa and Kagoshima are exquisite, showcasing the chef's expertise. The spacious interior allows for a comfortable dining experience, making it a place you will want to visit again.

As a basis for the satisfactory evaluation, I compared it with the famous Ichinoyasan in Kawagoe.
In terms of price, the extra-large portion of eel is 4,200 yen,
Compared to Ichinoyasan's Kiku (4300 yen) and Large (6700 yen),
Taguchiya has more eel than Kiku, but less than Large, and is more satisfying.
Taguchiya is also recommended for its easy access to private rooms and side dishes such as river shrimp, loach, catfish, and carp.
The waiting time at Ichinoya is about two hours.
The taste of the eel and rice is not much different from Ichinoya's.
The price of 6,000 yen per person is for two people with draft beer or sake, four people with oolong tea, and all of us with special eel, carp sarai, fried loach, fried river shrimp, catfish tempura, and grilled eel liver.
This is also a perfect score.

The taste and atmosphere were not bad and the food was good value for money, but the young male waiter had a bad attitude and made me uncomfortable.
The last time I visited the restaurant, the waiter did not even explain to me what he was serving and made a loud noise when he placed the dishes on the table, which made me feel uncomfortable.
The taste of the eel itself was good, but the taste was not so good and I felt greasy at the end, which was disappointing.
