When you stop by after a stroll during your trip, you feel excited the moment you go up to the second floor after passing through the souvenir space on the first floor. It's nice to have both tatami and table seating, and being able to relax without shoes is a bonus. The freshly made rice cakes are soft and chewy, and I thoroughly enjoyed flavors like sweet edamame, ginger, and perilla. The creamy texture of the sweet edamame and the fragrant perilla sauce are exquisite, and even though it's sweet, you can easily eat it all. With warm soba and the accent of Benkei's pickled vegetables, I felt all warm inside. It's a perfect place to enjoy local gourmet food while gazing at the mountains of Chuson-ji, making it an ideal spot for travel memories.
