Entering the calm, traditional-style building, the central irori (hearth) and counter seats enhance the atmosphere. The freshly fried, crispy kakiage (tempura) served on top of the grated soba is visually impressive, and the savory flavor is irresistible. The flat, smooth soba has a rustic simplicity while still being firm, and with every bite, the aroma spreads. Even as you continue eating, the generous portion of soba allows you to enjoy it until you are full, which is delightful. Soba broth and soba tea are provided, and the cute, differently colored teacups show thoughtful attention to detail.
