Upon entering a traditional old house along the national road, a calm space unfolds where you can take off your shoes and sit at a sunken hearth. The room with an irori (traditional Japanese hearth) and the pleasant scent of wood make you feel as if you've returned to your countryside home. The specialty dish, okkirikomi, is served in a cast iron pot, featuring wide noodles that are chewy and pair perfectly with a soy sauce-based broth infused with the sweetness of vegetables. It is filled with ingredients like pumpkin, shimeji mushrooms, and konjac, and the wheat thickens the broth, allowing you to enjoy it hot until the very end. The sweet potato skewers are made with soft taro, flavored with sweet miso and pepper, offering a rustic yet addictive deliciousness. With the rich local cuisine and warm atmosphere, both body and soul felt cozy after the meal.
