This is a cozy Chinese restaurant run by a couple in the city. The menu is extensive, making it hard to choose, but the firm, slightly curly noodles pair well with the gentle broth. The tanmen is piled high with vegetables and has a calming flavor with a hint of sesame oil. The Cantonese noodles have a rich sauce that blends well with the bok choy, and shrimp and wood ear mushrooms are balanced throughout. The fried rice is fragrant, with a great harmony of eggs and char siu that makes it hard to stop eating. You can hear the sounds and smell the aromas of cooking, allowing you to relax while watching TV.
