When you stop by the roadside station Rumoi, the first thing that hits you is the wonderful aroma of soba, which is exciting. The glossy noodles are smooth and pair perfectly with the moderately rich broth. The popular 'Nishin Oyako Bento' features plump fish, and its sweet and salty seasoning is infused with the flavors of the sea. The freshly fried 'Musashi Zangi' has a delightful kick from the spice and pepper that makes it hard to stop eating. It's conveniently easy to drop by, and you can enjoy it right in your car. The flavors unique to Rumoi are all there, and after the meal, you feel a warm sense of happiness.
