In a calm interior that makes use of an old traditional house, the impressive beams and irori (a traditional Japanese hearth) create a wonderful atmosphere. From the seats around the irori and the tatami room, you can see the greenery of the courtyard, allowing for a relaxed experience. The soba noodles are richly aromatic, and you can appreciate their flavor even when enjoyed plain. When dipped in the sauce, they slide smoothly down your throat, and you finish them quickly. The gentle acidity of the sunki soba is also pleasant, providing a comforting taste on a cold day. I heard that the soba is made from flour ground every morning, which makes me love it even more.
