A restaurant where you can enjoy high quality abalones and lobsters at a very reasonable price. I have been visiting "Ababi-tei," an izakaya kappo restaurant that I learned about more than 15 years ago from a good restaurant in Tokyo. The restaurant is tucked away on the opposite side of Nerima's glamorous area. Abalone from 2,800 yen, lobster and more. After getting the lobster meat, you can have miso soup or zosui (rice porridge) made. The restaurant looks like an ordinary izakaya (Japanese style bar). The quality and price are a surprise. As for the a la carte menu, hats off to the repertoire of abalones for sale. Of special note are the appetizers, three kinds of sashimi, freshly fried tempura with eggplant and conger eel, and boiled and soaked scallop fry. This alone is enough to lightly drink two cups and fill your stomach. I highly recommend this restaurant to those who like abalone and lobster and live in the neighborhood or have the opportunity to visit.
