Sakae is an izakaya that offers surprises and delights with every visit. The coldness of their beer is unparalleled, showcasing their dedication. Every dish is exquisite, with the garlic hot pot being particularly popular as a miraculous dish that doesn't leave a smell the next day. Even after a long absence, the consistent deliciousness and warm hospitality will fill your heart.

The cold beer in a mug, with a thin layer of ice under the foam, is the best. The grilled dishes, such as shishamo (smelt) and yakitori (grilled chicken), as well as grilled squid with ginger, are all perfectly seasoned. The classic garlic hot pot, with just garlic chives, chicken, and garlic, is so delicious that you'll want to drink the soup to the last drop. I was excited from the start when I encountered offal stew and shirako (cod milt) as appetizers. The morokyu (cucumber with miso) is cut in a creative way, enhancing the texture of the cucumber. Adding Yonezawa ramen at the end significantly increases the satisfaction, making me feel it's the best in this town.
