I was skeptical about the deep-fried maple leaf I ordered after reading the word of mouth!
Delicious ❤ especially the cheese ❤ I want to go back to Miyajima for this ❤.

I'm fried!
After landing at Miyajima, we headed to Itsukushima Shrine and Mt.
First, take the ropeway to Mt.
I didn't have the energy to climb up the mountain, so I spent some time at the observatory.
Then, we went to Itsukushima Shrine.
We visited the shrine at low tide, so we were able to go to the side of the torii (gate).
When you see it up close, the size of the shrine is breathtaking!
It was a mess after the water receded.
But there are small fish and crabs, and it's fun just to look at them!
I'm going to eat a fried maple tree on the way back home!
When you look up Miyajima, "Aged Momiji" is often mentioned!
As the name suggests, it is a maple leaf bun dipped in tempura flour and deep fried!
It is sold here and there along the approach to the shrine.
Momiji-do also has a rest area, so take a break here!
Momiji-manju is fried in the store, so order and pay your bill there!
We are very grateful that there is a rest area in the back of the store!
Of course, there are momiji manju for souvenir.
I have to try the Aged Momiji Manjuu!

But of course it's hot because it's freshly fried...
I eat it while letting it cool down.
The batter part is crispy and the momiji manjuu is warm and fluffy.
The cream part is so hot that you will get burned if you don't eat it carefully!
Since the cream contains lemon, the freshness of the lemon prevails over the sweetness and it is delicious!
It was better than I expected!
What's nice about this place is that you can drink tea for free!
You can sit down, eat, and drink tea for 180 yen, which is a super deal!
I was a little tired, so it was a good rest!
