Exquisite Yakiniku Kaiseki in Okazaki City

Kuroushi MURANOKAJIYA is a renowned yakiniku kaiseki restaurant that has recently reopened in Okazaki City, originally from Hekinan's 'Mura no Kajiya.' Here, you can enjoy a special experience in a calm atmosphere, savoring carefully selected meats. The hand-formed sushi and delicious yakiniku are all exceptional. Conveniently located within walking distance from Higashi-Okazaki Station, it offers a welcoming ambiance that is perfect for solo diners.

It is a small shop with only a counter, where you can spend time quietly. I am happy that they carefully cut the meat every time I order and gently place it in front of me. I can grill it to my preferred doneness on the grill in front of me, and the tongue, harami, and loin are all fragrant. The subtle seasoning of salt and pepper, as well as the way of eating grilled tongue and harami with salted kelp, goes very well together. I can change the flavor with sauce, lemon, and salt that comes out when pressed, and I can also enjoy eringi mushrooms, bell peppers, and zucchini together. There are six seats, and the owner carefully attends to everything by themselves, making it perfect for a special meal.

In a cozy space with only a counter, you can enjoy grilled meat in a relaxed atmosphere. The meat is carefully sliced right in front of you and served gently in front of each person, which is delightful. You can grill it to your preferred doneness on the table grill, and a light sprinkle of salt and pepper enhances the flavor beautifully. They offer a variety of meats including tongue, harami, loin, sirloin, tenderloin, shima-chou, and mino, and I particularly enjoyed the way of eating it with salted kelp after grilling. You can change the flavor with sauces, lemon, or salt that comes out when pressed, and the addition of king oyster mushrooms, bell peppers, and zucchini provides a nice accent. There are also kimchi, salad, rice, and soup, and it ends with yuzu sorbet, creating a pleasant flow and a sense of satisfaction.
