We soak burdock in our secret broth before frying it. This is an original product that cannot be imitated anywhere else. The mildly spicy accent pairs well with beer snacks. Takeout is also available!
・Tile Soba with Assorted Fried Fish Cake (Freshly Fried)
We kindly ask for a little time to heat the tiles. Please enjoy by adding the lemon and grated daikon on top of the noodles into the dipping sauce (feel free to add shichimi if you like...). The noodles are soft on top and crispy on the bottom, so you can enjoy them in two different ways! ^^
In the tenth year of the Meiji era, during the Seinan War, soldiers of the Satsuma army surrounding Kumamoto Castle reportedly used tiles to grill wild vegetables and meat during long field operations. This local dish from Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, was developed based on that story.

The japanese sake "dassai" (dassai) is a name that combines the characters for "otter" (kawauso) and "matsuri" (festival). this unusually named sake is shipped nationwide from asahi shuzo, a brewery in shutocho, iwakuni city, yamaguchi prefecture. it's a local sake that's garnering considerable attention among sake enthusiasts. otters have a habit of lining up the fish they catch on the shore, creating a festival-like appearance. the word "dassai" refers to the scattered presence of books and materials, as it is similar to the way people spread out numerous reference materials when composing poetry or prose. the scholar shiki masaoka called himself the "dassai bookstore master," and like shiki, who revolutionized japanese literature, he aspires to create superior sake through change and innovation. the local place name "dassai" also contains the character for "otter" (kawauso), hence the name "dassai." it also became a hot topic when prime minister abe, a yamaguchi native, presented this sake to president obama.
