A hidden gem in the local area, Akeru Shokudo
Akeru Shokudo is a stylish and casual restaurant that has recently opened in Eiheiji Town, Fukui Prefecture. The interior is spacious and clean, with a raised tatami seating area available. Customers can enjoy a satisfying lunch featuring fluffy rice cooked in a traditional earthen pot, along with their choice of main dishes and side dishes.

The gentle seasoning allows you to choose 3 out of 5 small dishes, and the rice is delicious as well.
The young staff's friendly service is also very pleasant. It's a place you want to support.
However, the ladies tend to take a long time after finishing their meals. Wouldn't it be okay to set a time limit? Although it's different if you order drinks.

The rice is incredibly delicious! Being able to cook locally produced Koshihikari rice in a pot and have unlimited refills is such a great deal amidst the rising rice prices! The price is also reasonable at 1,100 yen, and being able to choose three small side dishes is just too luxurious. This is a restaurant I would highly recommend. Thank you for the meal!!

The table was made of wood and had a very warm feel to it. I chose the grilled mackerel as the main dish, and it was rich and juicy. The amount of grated daikon was a bit on the low side, but the condiment that tasted like yuzu pepper paired very well with the mackerel! All the small side dishes I could choose from were delicious as well. The rice cooked in a traditional pot was also tasty, and it's a place I want to visit again.
The staff were all smiling and provided very pleasant service.
