A traditional tonkatsu specialty shop with nostalgic charm

Located in Ichihara City, Tonkatsu Tonmaru is a specialty shop where the owner carefully prepares tonkatsu. The thinly breaded, crispy texture is appealing, and the sweetness of the pork that spreads in your mouth is exquisite. The interior evokes a sense of nostalgia reminiscent of the Showa era, creating a warm atmosphere that families can enjoy.

It is located a little off the main road, making it easy to access by car. The interior is more spacious and calming than the exterior impression suggests. The freshly fried tonkatsu has a crispy coating and a clean oil finish, making it not heavy. The meat has a good texture, and the flavor spreads as you chew. The sauce is refreshing with a mild acidity, pairing well with cabbage and rice. The miso soup and pickles have a simple taste, contributing to a good overall balance.
