The shop and cafeteria inside the parking area are compact yet full of charm. The shop offers a variety of souvenirs typical of Nagano, and there is a good selection of health-conscious products. In particular, the furikake made with local vegetables and the fragrant perilla oil are delightful accents to dishes. The cafeteria's specialty, the mountain bandit grilled chicken, is crispy and juicy, with garlic and ginger sauce well absorbed into the chicken. Despite its impressive volume, it doesn't feel heavy, and eating it with cabbage keeps it interesting until the end. Stopping by during a highway trip provides a sense of satisfaction that blows away the fatigue of travel.
