A time-stopping restaurant for soba lovers (^q^) It was raining, so I thought it would not be crowded, so I visited for the first time~. I was lucky that it was not only not crowded but also reserved for a private party as I had read. Since it was the day of lunch, I ordered two dishes that I had already decided to eat in my food log: "Rural Soba" and "Tofu with Yuba (bean curd)"! I started with the tofu with yuba. The fineness of the homemade tofu and the chewiness and aroma of the homemade yuba were a perfect match with the accompanying dipping sauce. Then, the elegant looking rustic soba arrived! The soba was thin but the buckwheat was firm and the aroma was delicious. Next, we had the soba noodles with tsuyu (soy sauce), which was also homemade, and it was superb. The last dish was Sobayu! The soba noodles were first served with the dipping sauce, and then as it was. Overall, the amount of food was small, but the service was good, and we were given detailed instructions on how to enjoy the food. By the way, the exterior of Jiyu now is plain and unlike the old days, they don't seem to have any signboards with their name on it, as you can see in the picture, and I myself got lost, so please be careful.
