A heartwarming, homey izakaya

Kobushi is a warm and inviting izakaya run by a family. Guests are captivated by the chef's skillful dishes. Both the seafood and meat dishes are exquisite, and the fluffy-textured dishes are particularly worth trying. In a cozy atmosphere, you can enjoy delicious food, making it a true hidden gem in the mountains.

Recommended by an acquaintance, Kobushi had a nice atmosphere with many platters of food lined up at the counter. Each dish, such as kabuto-yaki, fuki, torikimo, and asparagus, was carefully prepared and very tasty. I was surprised at the number of platters, but all the ingredients were seasonal and I wanted to try many of them next time. Some of the fish was fresh, and the chutoro (medium fatty tuna) and sea urchin were fresh. The portions were just right, and the oden and other dishes were small and thoughtful. The handa-men noodles to finish off the meal were light and delicious. They have a wide variety of dishes on the menu and they can make anything you want.
