I was excited by the calm, Japanese-style interior, which felt like a space in a traditional house with visible beams and pillars. The seating options include a counter and small private rooms, and I appreciated the thoughtful touch of having a noren (fabric divider) lowered for privacy. The lunch set came with salad and sashimi, all of which were fresh and had a crisp texture. The main steak was tender, infused with a Japanese-style sauce, and not greasy at all, making it easy to finish. The freshly fried tempura had a crunchy batter, and the chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) had a smooth, gentle flavor that made it hard to stop eating. Thanks to the staff's modest yet warm service, I was able to enjoy my meal leisurely all the way to the last cup of coffee.
