A hidden gem to savor the blessings of the Sea of Japan

Jintoku is a hidden gem where you can enjoy fresh snow crab shipped directly from Kasumi. The fresh crab from Kasumi is particularly special as it can be tasted in Shiga Prefecture, a landlocked area. The crab served as sashimi or in shabu-shabu spreads a rich sweetness in your mouth, leaving you amazed by its freshness.

I have not had a chance to visit this restaurant, even though it is located near my hometown, and this was the first time in several years that I had Kani-sukiyaki with crab brain and vinegared vegetables. The kani-sukiyaki is a style of shabushabu-shabu in a pot after enjoying fresh crabs as sashimi on the table. The crab meat is sweet and rich in texture, and can be enjoyed with vegetables. The meal ends with zosui, the proprietress's specialty. It is a mysterious taste that will make you fall in love with crab and want to eat it again.
