An exquisite sushi restaurant where tradition meets modernity

At Suruga Sushi, you can enjoy exquisite nigiri sushi that harmonizes traditional Edomae sushi techniques with contemporary flavors. The sushi, crafted from carefully selected natural ingredients and the skill of artisans, showcases thoughtful enhancements that elevate the taste of the ingredients. The anago from off the coast of Haneda is particularly fresh and has a plump flavor, and the local sake served alongside the sushi is also exceptional. The beautifully designed Japanese-style interior makes it the perfect place to spend a special time.

Sitting at the counter, I feel a sense of excitement in a calm space filled with the warmth of wood. The first dish served, grilled squid tentacles, was fragrant and awakened my taste buds instantly. They prepare the eel caught right in front of me, and the fluffy flesh combined with the sweet sauce is irresistible. The sushi is made with smaller rice balls, and there are many carefully prepared toppings like kelp-marinated and lightly grilled options, which enhance the deliciousness. The sea urchin, salmon roe, cod milt, and sea bream were also fresh, and I could strongly sense the aroma of the ocean. They have local sake and sparkling wine available, allowing for an even more delightful experience when paired with the sushi.
