Ryujinmaru" is famous for its straw-roasted bonito. The straw-roasted bonito is the best with a slight aroma of straw and the meat is very firm. The salt is natural salt from Muroto, and the sauce is Ryujinmaru's special ponzu (citron-flavored vinegar). Sashimi is also very tasty, with a firm flesh and no smell at all. The bonito flounder (toro portion) is grilled with straw to remove excess fat and is not at all tasteless, making it an exquisite dish. Freshly cooked rice should be mixed well with a rice scoop, covered and steamed for 2 minutes to fluff up the rice. If you want to eat the best bonito in Mie Prefecture, this is the place to go.
