As the name suggests, the concept of this restaurant is "home-style cooking with a hearty, high-quality flavor that I would like to enjoy every day". Even looking at the menu, there are many dishes that look like they could be served at home 😊. At the Ie Cafe, you can enjoy a wide variety of dishes, including our special egg dishes and hot miso soup made with carefully selected dashi broth from carefully selected sources. The menu is rich in variations. They also offer original Japanese sweets. Among them, I had this time Anmitsu style parfait with shiratama (white bean curd) and salted daifuku (sweet bean jelly) ¥-750 Chiran tea and salted Daifuku gelato topped with a shiratama (white bean curd). Anmitsu parfait with molasses I ordered the one that looked the best on the menu, but the deciding factor was the shiratama 😂. The combination of shiratama and anmitsu is my favorite 😊. What surprised me was the size 😂. It looked like it was served in a small cup on the menu, but it was actually the size of a real parfait ☺️ The top is a big green tea and maybe vanilla? It tasted like ice cream, but with a big green tea and vanilla ice cream round on top. ☺️ The shiratama (white bean curd) was sticky and went perfectly with the red bean paste, and there was a lot of red bean paste 👍. As I explored the inside, I found a lot of flakes. The ingredients are crunchy and delicious and I can see why they put them in parfaits 🤭. And there's way too much whipped cream in there too. To be honest, it was such a hearty Japanese sweet that it was too much for one for each of us. ☺️👍
