Oishiya Ureshiya, located in Shiga Prefecture, is a famous food production area in Japan, offering delicious rice, vegetables, Omi beef, sweetfish, and other specialty products. Products here include a wide variety of pesticide-free yuzu (citron), high-quality vegetables, sweet and aromatic tomatoes, and mushrooms. Also, Omi brown rice tea made from roasted Omi brown rice and cut-off Omi beef are of sufficient quality, and there is a wide selection of Hiei yuba, handmade ham, chirimen sansho, funa-zushi, and other products. In particular, Mohei's "Tofu Konnyaku" is an excellent product with a fresh, fluffy texture and a good thirst-quenching taste. The store staff advised me not to chill it too much or it would become hard, but when I chilled it a little in the refrigerator, the mousse-like texture was brought out to its fullest and I could not stop eating it. The bread made with whole wheat flour and brown rice also had a gentle taste with a natural aroma.
