Japanese Lunch Popular among Lehman Brothers @ Higashimikuni | Happy to eat good food! Eririnko loves meat, but when she is alone, she chooses fish as much as possible. I think I really need to eat vegetables and fish properly these days! For lunch that day, I wanted to go to a place where I could eat fish, and I suddenly remembered Fuku-chan! The place is about a 5 minute walk west from the north ticket gate of Higashimikuni station. It is located next to the recently opened "papa2Bakery". I remembered this store when I was waiting in line at 888 Bakery! I knew the store had been there for a long time, but... I forgot about it. Sorry! The lunch menu is a delight, with prices ranging from 650 yen to 950 yen, or less than 1,000 yen! They have a sample of today's daily special. You don't see this kind of thing anymore, but isn't it kind of reassuring? You have to take off your shoes to enter the restaurant. On the right is a table, and on the left is a counter with a sunken kotatsu, making it easy to sit down. I ordered the grilled fish set for 650 yen! You could choose between salmon or mackerel, so I ordered the mackerel! I also had a choice of steamed egg custard or pudding, so I ordered the steamed egg custard. I wonder if it took a little bit of time because we ordered a lot of fish. They said rice refill is free! Rice, miso soup, steamed egg custard, cucumber and wakame salad, pickles The Japanese food! It's so relaxing! The seasoning is light and relaxing! The mackerel was half a piece and plentiful! The skin is grilled to a savory flavor, so you can eat the whole thing! I love fish skin and blood! If I have a friend who doesn't like them, I'll eat the rest of them too! The mackerel was fatty and very tasty! I've been thinking a lot about how delicious fish is lately! There are not many places in my hometown where I can eat this kind of Japanese food for lunch, so this is a very useful place for me! The daily schedule is also posted at the restaurant, so you can ask about side dishes you are interested in! It was delicious! Thank you for the food!
