A historic yakitori restaurant beloved by locals

Izumiya is a renowned yakitori restaurant located in Kasugai, cherished by the community for many years. Sitting at the counter, the enticing aroma of grilled chicken whets your appetite, with the recommended ponjiri skewers and grilled liver being particularly popular. The restaurant is lively and has a warm atmosphere, making it inviting for first-time visitors, who are kindly introduced to recommended dishes. In addition to yakitori, the restaurant is also well-known for its side dishes, such as macaroni salad.

It is just a short walk from Kasugai Station, and you can easily find it without getting lost. The atmosphere is calm and seasoned, and the interior is well-maintained and comfortable. In addition to the counter and tables, there is a small tatami room in the back, making it easy to accommodate both small groups and larger ones. The staff asked about my preferences, which made it easy to order even for a first-time visitor. The grilled chicken and skewers were all satisfying, and the rare liver, breast, heart, gizzard, and sweet and spicy simmered ginkgo nuts were all very delicious. The potato salad also had a simple and good flavor, and since it is a popular place, it is reassuring to reserve a seat.
