The founder and owner chef, Mr. Honda was born in Hokkaido, Japan. At the age of 19, he went to Italy by himself and graduated first in his class as a foreigner from the National Culinary Institute of Enarque, Italy. He later won prizes in European cooking competitions and was appointed chef of the Italian Pavilion at the 1970 Osaka World's Fair.
