A cozy izakaya that delights in quality ingredients

"Junpei" is an izakaya that prides itself on using fresh, quality ingredients. From yakitori to tempura to various small dishes, everything is carefully selected by the owner for maximum deliciousness. They particularly emphasize the freshness of vegetables, and even simple raw vegetables and ohitashi (boiled greens) are surprisingly delicious. It's a lovely spot where you can enjoy heartwarming dishes in a homely atmosphere.

When I made a reservation and entered the restaurant, both the counter and the raised seating area were lively and exciting. The appetizer of yam stew was well-infused with broth, offering a comforting and gentle flavor. The grilled chicken skewers, including gizzards and young chicken, were juicy, with a subtle aroma of charcoal wafting through the air. The tempura of squid and seasonal vegetables were crispy and showcased the quality of the ingredients. The fresh vegetables were crisp, and the sweetness of the tomatoes was exceptional. Thanks to the warm hospitality of the couple, I was able to relax and enjoy myself until the very end.
