I was drawn in by the shopfront that had caught my attention for a long time, and I passed through the noren for the first time. Inside, where you take off your shoes, the counter and tables are comfortably arranged, creating a relaxing space. The master behind the counter cheerfully engages in conversation, conveying the atmosphere of being loved by regular customers. The lunch special of the day featured grilled mackerel with rich fat and crispy fried horse mackerel, both showcasing careful craftsmanship. The side dishes, including homemade rolled omelet, simmered dishes, and miso soup with firm tofu, made the white rice go down easily. The serious nature of the long-standing establishment combined with the homely flavors left a happy aftertaste for a while after the meal.
