A warm and cozy Japanese-style izakaya

Nawanoren is a cozy Japanese-style izakaya with an extensive selection of sake. You can enjoy fresh sashimi and delicious homemade dishes, with the highlight being the ginger-infused 'aji no namerou.' It's a heartwarming place where you can fully enjoy delicious food along with sake.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a wall full of handwritten menus, and everything looked so delicious that I felt excited. The sashimi was cut thick and incredibly fresh, especially the octopus with its delightful texture and the ginger aroma of the mackerel tartare was irresistible. The grilled dishes like marinated mackerel and opened horse mackerel were also substantial, allowing me to fully appreciate their umami. Even the appetizer of simmered taro and the sesame-dressed shrimp and scallops were carefully prepared, providing a high level of satisfaction from the very beginning. The selection of sake was abundant, making it enjoyable to choose according to my preferences. The warm atmosphere, with the chef and the proprietress casually engaging with guests, made it easy to relax even when dining alone.
