Upon entering, there is a calm counter and tables, and you immediately feel a homely atmosphere. The staff quickly hands you a lap blanket, showing thoughtful care that warms your heart. The handmade feel is evident from the appetizers, and the sweet and sour marinated fish and spiced pot-au-feu had a gentle flavor. The sashimi was exceptionally fresh, and even the simmered dishes retained the fish's umami, bringing a smile to my face. The fried Mexican fish and potato galette, among other unexpected combinations, were all fragrant and addictive. There was a wide variety of drinks, including shochu, soba tea highball, and plum wine, and I was able to enjoy a relaxed time along with the friendly chatter of the owner.
