Authentic Sichuan cuisine and skilled yakisoba in Nakano

Sichuan Azumaya is a Chinese restaurant known for its delicate flavors that do not rely on chemical seasonings. The dan dan noodles, in particular, have a superb aroma of star anise and are praised for their careful preparation that suits Japanese palates. Additionally, the yakisoba boasts a 27-year history, featuring a firm texture of thin noodles and the distinct flavor of naruto.

The brick-style exterior located in the shopping street catches the eye, and the interior has a calm atmosphere. There are table seats and a counter by the window, allowing for a leisurely time. This place has a history dating back to 1952, and you can still enjoy the famous sauce yakisoba. The thin, chewy noodles blend well with the aroma of the sauce, reminiscent of street food. Cabbage and green onions take center stage, with a nice accent from the aonori (seaweed flakes) and pickled ginger. They also offer Sichuan-style mapo tofu, dan dan noodles, and dipping noodles, which is great as you can choose according to your mood.
