Shiodome [CHINA BLUE I went to the Chinese restaurant "China Blue" at the Conrad Tokyo for dinner with my significant other. It was my second visit in about five years, but the restaurant seemed to be empty, perhaps because the summer vacation had ended, and we were easily able to get in even with a same-day reservation. The restaurant is located at the far end of the elevator, and the high class atmosphere almost makes you shy away from the restaurant, but you have to be brave and w Once inside, you will be served in a very smart manner. This time we ordered a course, and the dishes that came out were as follows Three kinds of dim sum recommended by the chef Thickened soup with crabmeat and fish bag in soy sauce flavor Steamed scallops and tofu with homemade XO sauce Braised pork belly with fried pork skin and senbei Rice with abalone in white truffle oil with ginger Chef's choice of dessert: Peach Tiramisu The dishes were all innovative and all delicious, but the second dish, a slightly spicy soup, was particularly shocking. The flavor of the crab and the fluffy texture of the floating fish bag went so well together that I couldn't help but want a second helping. The finishing dish of abalone rice, with its exquisite truffle, abalone, and ginger flavors, was also agonizingly delicious. It looks as if you could eat as much as you want. On the way to the restaurant, we ordered a glass of champagne and spent a wonderful and relaxing time while enjoying the night view of Odaiba and Ariake. By the way, the atmosphere of this restaurant is great. Not only the food, but also the sophisticated and open space, the smart service, and the night view of Tokyo Bay outside the window. Everything was wonderful. The sparkling pu-erh tea "AN ANGELIC SMILE" we had at the end was an excellent choice, with a slight sweetness and astringency that left us with a sense of regret. We hope to visit again. Thank you for the food 😋.
