The charm of okonomiyaki enjoyed with a smile

Located in Konan City, Monja Tei is a cozy establishment where you can enjoy exquisite okonomiyaki. The friendly service from the owner and the experience of watching your delicious okonomiyaki being cooked right in front of you are highlights of this place. Lunch comes with a choice of salad and pickles, and the complimentary oolong tea is a nice touch. It's a comfortable space that makes first-time visitors want to return again and again.

The cozy interior, which has a counter and tatami seating, creates a very homey atmosphere. As soon as we take our seats, a jug of tea or oolong tea is quickly brought to us, and it feels great to quench our thirst. For lunch, we can choose from okonomiyaki, monjayaki, or yakisoba, and there's the fun of combining our favorite ingredients and sauces. Since they cook it right in front of us, the anticipation while waiting for it to be ready, accompanied by the savory sounds and smells, is exciting. The crispy exterior and fluffy interior of the okonomiyaki pair well with the plump shrimp and melting cheese, making me smile involuntarily. The warm hospitality from the friendly staff and the satisfying lunch, which even includes salad and miso soup, made for an enjoyable meal.
